A Steam Pickaxe is a tool added with the SteamCraft mod. It is the fastest Pickaxe, with the same mining speed as the Gold Pickaxe, however, it is not capable of mining higher level ores such as Obsidian or Volucite. The Steam Pickaxe looks different than other pickaxes, simply for the fact that it is a steampunk tool and supposedly is run on steam or another power source. It requires a Steam Furnace to craft, but does not require fuel, although it may in the future.
